Amazing Hong Kong Public Housing
Hong Kong Public Housing is the envy of many countries around the world... Hong Kong has a population of 7.37 million people and around 48% of our population lives in heavily subsidised Public Housing ( aka Social Housing, Council Housing, The Projects, Section 8 Housing etc ).
The Hong Kong Governments Public Housing Policy started in 1963 and continues to be a mainstay of our Housing Policy.
A typical Public Housing Apartment is roughly 350sqft or 33sqm which is the size of a good hotel room, with a capacity for up to 6 tenants and the average rental per month is around US$160 per month which means it is affordable and it is the reason why poor people in Hong Kong can live in the most expensive city in the world.
It really is amazing.

The Shanghai Boy at the Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple
The chap with the strange haircut and in the white suit is a very famous "reputed" Hong Kong gangster called the Shanghai Boy, this is not the first time I have seen him but it was a thrill to see him at my favourite Temple!
He currently has some legal troubles which explains the visit to the Temple undoubtedly an attempt to get the God's help... I have no doubt he will succeed in beating the current charges!
I have to say he is a very friendly chap, he said hello and had a big smile on his face.. you will also see that he had 4 heavies / thugs with him to ensure he came to no harm!
Awesome.....

The Canadians
The MTR is the main mode of transport in Hong Kong and I have to say that our subway is the best in the world and I am sure that most visitors to Hong Kong would agree.
It was my pleasure to spend the day with my Canadian friends and show them the very best of Hong Kong.
Thank you guys.

The awesome McLaren at the Peninsula Hotel
What a gorgeous car and I am always thrilled when owners splurge and pimp out a standard supercar and why not.
Love the work and I am a big fan of this pewter grey colour.... and I know that the Peninsula Hotel loves to have cars like this parked outside of the Hotel.

Cows
I am a frequent visitor to the Giant Buddha on Lantau Island and I have noticed that over the past few years cows graze up there all the time now which is a real irony given that Buddhists are vegetarian, good news for the cows and good news for those of us that like to talk to the cows.
This is cow no. 1 and pretty darn healthy. (there are over 450 wild cows on Lantau)

The Big Brained Goldfish
Looking a lot like the horrific aliens from Mars in the movie Mars Attacks ( a cult classic by the way ) this is a very odd and very expensive goldfish.
You can buy these in the Goldfish Market in Mong Kok in Kowloon and I always recommend a visit to this somewhat weird "attraction"

The views
This is one of the many amazing views to be had in Hong Kong, this is taken from TST Promenade and we are looking at Hong Kong Island from Kowloon.

Another McLaren
This McLaren is owned by the brother of the McLaren owner also featured in this blog post - I see this in Hong Kong a lot, brothers quite often have the same brand car but a different model!
This is a special edition McLaren and is (as is the other one) parked at the Peninsula Hotel.

Trucks
I am always amazed at how monster trucks navigate the narrow streets of Hong Kong, just another reason not to ride a bicycle!!
Although not a truck fan (just not as interesting as cars) my images get a lot of hits for reasons I do not fully understand.

The Court of Final Appeal
I consider this to be one of my favourite buildings in Hong Kong.. as you can see it has class and a certain amount of gravitas befitting it's purpose as our Supreme Court.
Next to Statue Square and in the banking district in Central on Hong Kong Island.
It is absolutely worth a visit.
Oh my golly gosh, the simply amazing Pagani Hypercar, hand made in Italy
